✦What is Unisona?
unisona.ai is a personal, local-first reasoning system — a chat-first "cockpit" that remembers what matters to you, reasons over it, takes actions with tools, and verifies its answers against real evidence.

🔑Do I need an account or an API key to try it?
No. You can open Unisona Chat and start right away — no account and no API key required. Signing in and adding your own keys unlocks more, but they're never needed just to try it.
🚀How do I run it on my own computer?
Unisona is local-first — it's built to run on your own machine. The Quick Start guide gets it running in a few minutes.
🔒Is my data private?
Yes — local-first by default. Your memories and private notes are stored on your own machine by design, not on someone else's server. See the Privacy Governance policy for the details.
🗄️Where is my data actually stored?
As plain, append-only JSONL logs plus a compressed CSF archive on your machine. Nothing is silently deleted — your memory is something you own and can inspect.
🧠What AI models does it use?
It's model-agnostic. Models plug into a provider chain — Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, xAI, and local models — as interchangeable replacements, so no single vendor is hard-wired in. The full chain is documented in the provider guide.
📋What can it actually do — and not do yet?
Chat, memory, document search, reasoning, tool use, a trading terminal, and creator tools all work today. For an honest, evidence-tagged list of the current limits, read What It Can't Do (Yet).
📚Where do I find the guides and documentation?
Everything lives in the Knowledge Center — a single, searchable library of every guide, research note, architecture decision, and report.
💳Is it free? What are the plans?
There's a free tier you can use without paying. Paid tiers add more and are billed securely by card (Stripe). See the pricing page for the current tiers.
📈Is this equity or an investment?
No. These are service subscriptions — no equity, tokens, or profit share.
✖️Can I cancel?
Yes — cancel anytime. Your local data stays yours.
